Fundamentals of Alternative Investments Certificate by CAIA Association

Nowadays, I completed Fundamentals of Alternative Investments online course by CAIA Association.

The whole course is video only with quizzes at the end of each module, which is awesome! The course takes me approx 18 hours to complete it and it consists of 8 modules:

• Module 1: Introduction to Alternative Investments
• Module 2: Risk and Return
• Module 3: Accessing Alternatives
• Module 4: Equity Strategies (e.g. Venture Capital, LBO, Activists, Merger Arbitrage or Long/Short)
  
• Module 5: Credit Strategies (e.g. Secured Debt, Mezzanine Debt, Distressed Debt or Structured Credit)
  
• Module 6: Real Assets (e.g. Real Estates, Infrastructure, Farmland, Timberland, Commodities or Artwork)
  
• Module 7: Diversifying Strategies (e.g. ILS, Royalties or Litigation Financing)
  
• Module 8: Portfolio Implementation
  

Each module is divided into several courses and there are 71 courses in total. Moreover, there are industry experts videos which summarize the chapters and specify the business practise. The whole course is very well structured.

My personal rating: 9 points from 10. Excellent course!
